Calling all arms

Patrick Knoblauch might have been the piece of the puzzle the Streeters had been missing most of the regular season.

The senior shortstop/pitcher sat out most of the season after having surgery on his foot, but proved last week in his first start on the mound that his presence was sorely needed with a 6-inning, one-hit performance in a 6-3 win over Melrose. The win advanced the Streeters into the final six of Section 6AA play where they then trounced Pierz 9-0 to put them in the final four.
