CITY OF AVON/AVON FIRE DEPARTMENT

REQUEST FOR BIDS

City of Avon/Avon Fire Department is seeking sealed bids for purchase of the following fire equipment:

22 full sets of NFPA 1971 & OSHA compliant turn out gear

16 NFPA 1981 & OSHA compliant SCBA units to include rack, regulator, tank, mask, and spare tank

7 NFPA 1981 & OSHA compliant compatible masks

Sealed bids must be submitted to PO Box 69/140 Stratford St. E Avon, MN 56310. The deadline for receiving bids is Monday, March 27, 2017. Bids will be opened at the Avon Fire Department on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 7:00 pm. All items must be delivered to the Fire department by May 22, 2017. We reserve the right to reject any and all bids. Specification sheets can be obtained by calling the city office at 320-356-7922 or can be viewed at www.cityofavonmn.com.

CITY OF ALBANY

AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 80.11

ZONING ORDINANCE: SIGNS

The City Council for the City of Albany, HEREBY ORDAINS as follows:

1. That Section 80.11, Subd. 7(e) of the Albany City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

“e) Public signs or notices relating to an emergency;”

2. That Section 80.11, Subd. 17 of the Albany City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Subd. 17:  C-1 Core Commercial District and Public District.  Signs are allowed as follows in C-1 Core Commercial District and the Public District:”

Subparagraphs (a) through (g) remain unchanged. 

3. That Section 80.11, Subd. 21 of the Albany City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Subd. 21:  Changeable Copy Sign: Electric.  Within the C-1, C-2, C-3, Public, M-1 and M-2 Districts, Changeable Electronic Copy Signs shall be permitted based on the following regulations.

b) Changeable Electronic Copy sign size limits:

(1) Signs located in the C-1, Public, M-1 and M-2 zoning districts: The Changeable Electronic Copy sign shall not exceed twenty-five percent (25%) of the maximum allowable aggregate sign area for the use to which it pertains, the area allowed for Changeable Electronic Copy sign is included within the total allowable sign area.”

Subparagraphs (a), (b)(2), (c), (d) and (e) remain unchanged. 

4. That Section 80.11, Subd. 22 of the Albany City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Subd. 22:   Temporary Sign. Temporary signs in C-1, C-2 and C-3 Districts, Public, M-1 and M-2 Districts shall be allowed based on the following regulations:

a) No more than two (2) temporary signs (banner or portable sign) not exceeding forty eight (48) total square feet in the C-1 District, Public District and M-1 District and one hundred and fifty (150) total square feet in the C-2 District, C-3 and M-2 District may be placed on an outside building wall (or tenant space in the case of multiple occupancy) to advertise special events, grand openings, or holidays.  Temporary signs shall have not more than two (2) faces;”

Subparagraphs (b) through (e) remain unchanged. 

5. That Section 80.11, Subd. 23 of the Albany City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Subd. 23:   Sandwich Board Sign.  Sandwich board signs in the C-1, C-2, C-3 and Public zoning districts shall be permitted with the following regulations:

Subparagraphs (a) through (h) remain unchanged. 

This Amendment was approved by the majority of the City Council of Albany on this 1st day of March, 2017.
