Notice of Election, Annual Meeting, Board of Canvass 

Meeting & Public Accuracy Test 

Notice is hereby given to qualified voters of Avon Township, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Township Election will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  Polls will be open from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Avon Township Hall, 16881 Queens Road, Avon, MN.  To be elected are one township supervisor for a three-year term and one treasurer for a two-year term.  Following the election on March 14th, the Board of Canvass will be held at 8:15 PM, and the Annual Town Meeting will be held at 8:30 PM. to conduct all necessary business prescribed by law.  In case of inclement weather, the Annual Meeting, Board of Canvass, and Election will be postponed one week, until the third Tuesday in March.  Please listen to KASM radio (1150 AM) for changes.  The Clerk’s Office in Avon Township Hall (16881 Queens Road, Avon) will be open on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 10 AM – 12:00 PM to accept absentee ballots.  The Public Accuracy Test of electronic voting equipment to be used for the annual election will be held Saturday, March 11, at 9:00 AM in the Avon Township Hall.  The Avon Township Hall is handicap accessible.

Holding Township Notice

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Holding Township, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota that the Annual Election of Town Officers will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Holding Town Hall located at 790 4th Street West, Holdingford, MN 56340 with polls opening at 2:00 p.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m. at which time one Supervisor for a three year term and one Treasurer for a two year term will be elected. Allen L. Fedor (incumbent) has filed for Supervisor and Juleen M. Scegura (incument) has filed for Treasurer.

The Board of Canvass will meet at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Holding Town Hall to canvass the results of the election.

The Annual Meeting will follow at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Holding Town Hall.

In case of inclement weather the Election, Board of Canvass Meeting and Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 same time, same place.

The Public Accuracy Testing of the  voting machine will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 8:45 p.m. at the Holding Town Hall.

ANNUAL MEETING, ELECTION,

AND TESTING OF EQUIPMENT

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Albany Township, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and the Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Notice is given that an Application for Informal Probate of Will and Informal Appointment of Personal Representative was filed with the Registrar, along with a Will dated August 16, 2013 and Codicil dated October 12, 2016. The Registrar accepted the application and appointed Karen Schwinghammer, whose address is 1570 Eckert Ave. SE, Buffalo, MN 55313, to serve as the personal representative of the decedent’s estate.

Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Any objection to the appointment of the personal representative must be filed with the Court, and any properly filed objection will be heard by the Court after notice is provided to interested persons of the date of hearing on the objection.

Unless objections are filed, and unless the Court orders otherwise, the personal representative has the full power to administer the estate, including, after thirty (30) days from the issuance of letters testamentary, the power to sell, encumber, lease, or distribute any interest in real estate owned by he decedent.

Farming Township

Public Accuracy Testing, Annual Election, Annual Town Meeting

Notice to all qualified voters of Farming Township, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota that:

A Public Accuracy Test of the Automark Voting Machine that will be used in the Farming Township Board Election will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Township Board Room of the Farming Community Center.

The Annual Election of Town Officers will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the Farming Community Center Board Room in the Town of Farming to elect one Supervisor for a term of 3 years and one Treasurer for a term of 2 years. Polls will be open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Board of Canvass will be held immediately following the counting of ballots in the Township Election.

The Annual Town Meeting will be held at 8:30 pm on March 14, 2017 in the meeting room of the Farming Community Center to conduct all business prescribed by law.
